Q. What type of timbers do we use?
A. Homeview Windows and Doors offer the choice of four timber species, Meranti, Pine - laminated / finger-jointed & pre-primed, Western Red Cedar, and KD Hardwood.

Q. Why use timber when you can use aluminium?
A. Timber offers many benefits that aluminium cannot. The ability to change the colour of your windows easily to suit changing trends over the years is one, the ability to provide a greater level of thermal insulation to your home is another.

A. Aside from being installed in many builder's display homes, Homeview Windows and Doors can be viewed online in our Gallery, or at the following location;

Q. What styles of windows do you have?
A. Homeview Windows and Doors manufacture all styles of window frames, from Awning to Double Hung, Casement and Fixed Windows. Colonial, Heritage, Federation and other Period styles can be created to suit your home or your specific requirements.

Q. Do you make special size windows?
A. Yes. Many of our special windows are one-of-a-kind. We can build a window to almost any shape, working from a simple sketch or from a CAD drawing. Every architectural mood can be catered for. From octagons to trapezoids, from ellipses to ovals, every shape is crafted with meticulous attention to detail.

Q. Does the glass at the bottom of a window need to be safety glass?
A. In most cases it does, although the type of glass may simply be thicker rather than being laminated or toughened. Our sales staff can advise you on these building requirements.

Q. Do you make a Bifold Door like I've seen on the television and in magazines?
A. Yes. Our range of Bifold Doors are very popular and allow you to open up your house when you want to, but still remain secure when you need to. In addition, Homeview also manufacture a range of Bifold Windows to complement the door range.

Q. What is AS 2047?
A. An addition to the Building Code of Australia which requires all window manufacturers to clearly label each product with it's performance capabilities in respect to wind and water penetration. Homeview Windows and Doors have been so labelled for over six years.

Q. How can I get a brochure of your window ranges and sizes?
A. The catalogue is available online_(5.3Mb), as is the full colour product brochure_(1.4Mb) but if you would rather a hardcopy please contact our offices by fax, phone or e-mail and we will forward a catalogue to you.

Q. What is PROTIM treatment?
A. Protim is a solvent based wood preservative that protects timber against many forms of insect attack, where the timber is used in aboveground applications. Homeview Meranti windows are Protim Treated and therefore carry a 25 Year guarantee against insect and borer.
